Our vision on AI literacy and education

September 1, 2026

Responsible AI adoption in healthcare is more than deploying the technology, it depends on capabilities of people. That's why education sits at the heart of everything we do.

Why it matters.

AI is being adopted in healthcare faster than most clinicians and institutions can build the literacy to use it safely and effectively. The European AI Act now requires that healthcare organisations using AI must take active steps to promote AI literacy for their staff. But compliance is only the starting point: working safely and responsibly with AI requires awareness of its risks and implications, and the practical skills to act on them.

We see four recurring barriers standing in the way of responsible AI adoption:

  • No shared vision or strategy. A shared view of who needs to know what, beyond scattered AI training initiatives, often run by individual enthusiasts.
  • A skills gap. The organisation lacks the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to deploy AI safely and effectively.
  • Low confidence. Trust in the technology is currently too low for AI to be deployed widely across healthcare.
  • A perception gap. Users often lack either the risk-awareness needed to temper AI hype, or the opportunity-awareness needed to counter distrust in new technology.

Closing this gap is what our education and competence-building programmes are for.

Our approach.

We believe AI literacy is the starting point, not the destination. It's what raises awareness and builds understanding. AI competence is the goal: it's what turns that knowledge into safe, confident practice. Getting from one to the other takes more than a training session, it requires a genuine understanding of when to trust, question, or reject an AI tool in a clinical context.

That's why our programmes combine conceptual knowledge, real-world examples, and interactive workshops. Through a mix of theory and practical exercises, expert sessions, peer learning, and coaching, participants can immediately apply what they've learned within their own work environment. We start by defining the target groups, objectives, learning goals, and activities together with you, so the curriculum reflects the reality your team works in.

What we offer.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to AI literacy. Every curriculum is tailored to the AI strategy and maturity level of your organisation, and designed around the current AI literacy level of participants.

  • Courses on the responsible implementation of AI
  • Workshops on building organisation-wide AI literacy
  • Workshops on choosing the right AI tool for your needs
  • Debates on the ethics of AI adoption
  • Quizzes and interactive learning formats
  • Lectures on any topic your organisation needs

Together, these formats support building AI competence across different roles. This means our educational offerings are suitable for everyone involved in AI decision-making and implementation, or working with AI in a healthcare context.
