Help shape the future of AI in healthcare, join our team!
February 26, 2026

Are you excited about the real-world impact of AI in healthcare? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of strategy, technology and clinical practice? Then keep reading!

We are looking for a Healthcare AI Implementation Consultant who wants to grow with us and support the responsible adoption of AI across Europe. We are a small, ambitious team and that means the person we hire will genuinely matter. Your ideas, skills, and personality will leave a mark on how we work and where we go next.

About us

With increasing pressure on healthcare systems across Europe, change is essential to keep care accessible and sustainable. We believe AI can be an important piece of the puzzle, but only when adopted responsibly and with realistic expectations. In a landscape filled with hype and bold promises, making the right decisions requires critical thinking and a clear focus on clinical value. At Romion Health, we enable the responsible adoption of commercially available AI-driven applications in healthcare. Not buzzwords, but real AI solutions that improve clinical workflows and patient care.

We guide healthcare organisations across Europe through every step of their AI journey: from strategy and procurement to implementation and evaluation in clinical practice. We are a dynamic and mission-driven team committed to building a future-proof healthcare system where quality care remains accessible to all.

What we do

We combine three core pillars to enable responsible AI adoption in healthcare:

AI adoption consultancy and project management

We are an independent consultancy focused on helping healthcare organizations adopt AI in a responsible way. We support teams throughout the full journey, from strategy and procurement to implementation and evaluation. What makes us different is our commitment to an independent, unbiased, and evidence-based approach.

To give you a sense of what we work on: we lead the clinical workstream of a national AI infrastructure project for radiology in The Netherlands, and we play a key role in integrating AI into the Dutch breast cancer screening program. Internationally, we have guided the procurement of AI platforms at national scale and helped healthcare organisations across Europe go from first exploration to successful implementation. Among a lot of other projects, we also advise national (medical) associations and governmental bodies on policy and guidelines for the responsible use of AI in healthcare.

Education & AI competence building

We believe sustainable AI adoption is about people, not just technology. That is why we support European healthcare institutions in becoming AI literate through courses, workshops, tailored learning plans and competence profile building. By helping organisations develop the right knowledge and skills in-house, we ensure AI can be adopted responsibly and for the long term.

Ensuring market transparency through Health AI Register

To increase market transparency, we developed Health AI Register (www.healthairegister.com), the most comprehensive, up-to-date, and structured overview of CE marked AI applications for radiology available in Europe, soon expanding to other clinical domains. Our mission is to support hospitals, clinicians, and healthcare professionals in making confident, well-informed decisions about AI procurement and implementation.

What you will be doing

As a Healthcare AI Implementation Consultant at Romion Health, your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Strategy development: Collaborate with healthcare organisations to identify AI opportunities, define use cases, and create comprehensive adoption strategies.
  • AI procurement: Guide clients in selecting AI applications, defining needs and requirements, and validating applications.
  • Implementation and integration: Manage the integration of AI into clinical workflows, ensuring seamless deployment and effective change management within healthcare organisations.
  • Evaluation and monitoring: Develop metrics and monitoring strategies to assess AI performance and impact over time.
  • Training and competence building: Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to enhance organisational AI competence and literacy.
  • Client engagement: Engage with clients to understand needs, provide customized solutions, and maintain strong relationships.
  • We get invited frequently to speak at national and international conferences and events, we would love to see you shine on stage sharing your expertise.
  • Within the team everybody has its own network in the field. We expect you to leverage yours and see how we can potentially do impactful projects together!
  • We are a small growing organization, you contribute to defining where we are going and reaching those goals.

What do you bring

You don't need to tick every box, but here's what makes us excited about you:

The essentials:

  • Previous work experience in or close engagement with healthcare organizations
  • Genuine knowledge of and affinity with AI in healthcare
  • Availability of 24–40 hours per week, we are open to candidates who combine this role with other professional activities such as a role in the hospital or in research.
  • Right to work in the EU, EEA, Switzerland or the UK (no visa sponsorship).
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is a strong plus

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape around healthcare AI (MDR, AI Act, GDPR)
  • Already being an authority on a specific topic in the AI healthcare space
  • Being able to leverage a strong international professional network
  • Fluency in additional European languages

And one more thing: We are a small, growing company, which means there is real room to bring your whole self to work. Are you a rockstar at writing, marketing, sales, finance, HR, IT, web development, design, or education? Tell us. Any skills that help us grow sustainably are more than welcome.

What we offer

  • Join a dynamic startup with an inclusive and forward-thinking team
  • Possibility to combine this role with other (non-competing) professional activities such as a role in the hospital or in research
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible work schedule with the option to work fully remotely. If you are based near Utrecht, we would love to see you at the office on Wednesdays (More frequently is possible, but optional.), but this is not a requirement.
  • Room to grow as the company grows as well. Early team members help shape the direction of Romion Health.
  • Contributing to a more futureproof healthcare system through the responsible adoption of AI!
